About Tara Preserve
Tara Preserve, also referred to as The Preserve at Tara, is a well-maintained golf community located off State Route 70 in east Bradenton, Florida. It is the newer section of the Tara community and commonly referred to as phase II of Tara.
Due to its low HOA fees and optional golf membership, the Preserve at Tara neighborhood is attractive to many buyers.
Amenities in this deed restricted community include a community pool, hot tub, golf, tennis, pickle ball, and a community center which is host to an array of social activities. Check out their bulletin board for the most current activity postings.
Throughout the nature-inspired community, you will find wildlife and a variety of beautiful birds of which many of the streets are named after.
Tara Preserve is conveniently located close to I-75 and within 10 minutes to the University Town Center, 20 minutes to downtown Sarasota, 20 minutes to the Sarasota-Bradenton International Airport, and 30 minutes to the world-famous local beaches.
Homeowner’s Association Information
This well-maintained, deed restricted community has two homeowner associations, the Tara Master Association (TMA) and a community association (Golf Villa Landscape Association). Fees for the master association are approximately $808 per year and include cable and internet. Monthly homeowner fees for those homes in the Golf Villa Landscape Association are approximately $130 per month and cover lawn maintenance, fertilizing, mulching once per year, annual tree trimming, and sprinkler maintenance. For homes which are not part of the Golf Villa association, these items are the responsibility of the homeowner.
The Preserve is a Community Development District (CDD) community, which translates to the developer borrowing money from the county in the form of a bond for the community infrastructure. The CDD mandated long-term solutions to the maintenance of the community facilities including the pool, tennis courts, the community center, common areas, and all 52 lakes. The Board of Supervisors, comprised of 5 elected homeowners, governs the CDD. The Tara Preserve CDD fee is approximately $1200 per year and is included in the yearly tax bill.
An architectural review committee helps to preserve and maintain the attractiveness of the community. Each year, every home throughout the neighborhood is assessed and a to-do-list is distributed to homeowners with required upkeep. Items on the list may range from, but not be limited to, painting or replacing a mailbox, pressure washing the roof or driveway or painting the exterior of the home. Failure to address items on the list will result in a fine. These efforts ensure the community’s upkeep and helps to maintain the values of the homes.

What is the CDD website?

What is the CDD responsible for?
The CDD is responsible for creating and maintaining a yearly fiscal budget for the physical maintenance of the common grounds, tennis courts, pickleball courts, the Community Center, community pool, and all 52 ponds.
Is the CDD responsible for tree maintenance?
Trees located on common ground are maintained by the CDD. Trees on private property are the responsibility of the homeowner.
What does the CDD pond maintenance include?
The CDD is responsible for water clarity and general wellness of all 52 ponds.
Is the CDD responsible for Tara Boulevard and side streets to Tara Preserve?
No. Manatee County is responsible for Tara Boulevard and all side streets on Tara Preserve, with the exception of condominium properties.
What do I do if the light pole near my house is not working?
All light poles in Tara Preserve are owned by Florida Power and Light. If you notice one is not working, locate the pole number and report it to the Tara Preserve Field Manager, Jim Kaluk, in the Community Center in person or by email at email@example.com. The office hours for the Community Center are Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM – 1:00 PM.
Tara Preserve Amenities
The neighborhood amenities and community center are located at 2340 Tara Preserve Lane.
Tara Preserve offers a public golf course, an aqua range, a heated community pool, spa, tennis courts, pickleball, plus walking and bike trails.
Tennis and pickleball courts are open at dawn. Lights may be turned on for evening play until 9 PM.
The pool and spa are opened 30 minutes after dawn and closes 30 minutes before dusk. The pool maintains a temperature of 85 degrees, and the spa at 103 degrees.
Membership in the Tara Preserve Golf Club is optional.
The championship 18 hole, par 72 golf course is highlighted by lakes and lush, grand trees.
The golf pro shop is located inside the Tara Preserve Community Center.
Although a golf membership is not required, a number of different membership options are available.
The community center is the social hub for activities such as cards, mahjong, quilting, and yoga. A bulletin board located outside the center displays a current schedule of events.
The Center is used for hosting HOA meetings and can also be rented out for special functions.
Pet lovers will be happy to know that there are no restrictions to the number of pets, the size or the breed.
Residents must pick up after their pets and all pets outside the home must be walked on a leash. In addition, pet owners must pick up after their pets.
Leasing is allowed in Tara Preserve.
There is a 3 month minimum rental with a maximum rental of one time per year.

The Preserve at Tara is conveniently located off I-75 exit 217, which makes traveling to Tampa or Sarasota a breeze.
